Took my car to Rising Sun Automotive for a stuck rear plate and they were awesome. The screws were completely seized, but Jeremy and Heath handled it and got everything fixed. Super nice, helpful, and professional. Definitely recommend!

After having work done ( engine oil gasket) $650. I have returned to ask about a oil smell and a rattling noise upon starting , ( not found ) Then my engine lights all came on inside my vehicle ( ck engine )yet the light went out when I left it overnight. Nothing found . Except the tire pressure light is still on and unchecked and my headlight keeps loosening & going out even after he tightened it . Thats another mystery . Very helpful guys though.

I have a Subaru Ascent, higher on miles. My colleagues recommended them. Jeremy and the team took exceptional care of my engine leak (why me 🤣) I’m still having problems with my older car but I feel comfortable with the team. I’ve used Rising Sun for assorted maintenance this year on my Mazda. Brake fluid, pads/rotors, oil changes, transmission services, etc. They’re not the cheapest in town, but the quality of the work is very high, service advisors are communicative and easy going, and they stand by their warranty. I had an outstanding experience at Rising Sun Automotive. Had my daughter’s suv checked out before a trip across country. John and team did a thorough inspection and highlighted what needed to be handled asap and what could wait. Top notch service, took my 2018 Subaru to 4 different shops and the dealership all diagnosing and quoting completely different things. Took it to rising sun, they found and fixed the issue and had me back behind the wheel within a matter of days and saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. My car has been driving great since, I will not be taking my car anywhere else from now on.

I’ve been to this shop twice and they are kind, knowledgeable, quick, fair & efficient. They take phone calls in a reasonable time and go above and beyond to provide a solution, even if that means referring you to another shop. Sorry to the person with the review below me 🥶 it happens sometimes unfortunately. I’ve personally had a great experience with the South Lamar Rising Sun team and Jeremy has been great with communication. Just some good ol hometown mechanic vibes going on here. My car is at 90k miles so I did a complete revamp with new brake pads, flushed the transmission, new spark plugs, air filters, and oil change. They were very quick with the turn around time and my car is back to being a speed demon and running like she’s brand new. Highly recommend this team if you have a Japanese brand!

Last week I went to Rising Sun with my 2011 Honda Odyssey. After a thorough inspection, they provided a very straight forward list of potential repairs. I opted to replace my rear brakes and the air intake hose that had a hidden tear. Rising Sun was friendly and professional throughout the entire process.

I have been a regular here for awhile between an old Honda & my new old Toyota. I have consistently had great experiences & service from everyone! I also appreciate when the number of repairs needed is more than I can handle, they are helpful in prioritizing what needs to happen now and what can be addressed later. Service was great and the cost was both competitive and very transparent. I really loved that after the diagnostics they gave me the quote with the option to select from the basic \”get your engine light back off\” jobs all the way to doing any mileage based maintenance and tune ups. Had a really good experience with Rising Sun Automotive. My car broke down on me while trying to start it when leaving my office. Triple AAA came to pick it up to tow and recommended Rising Sun as an affiliate of theirs. The team was super easy and responsive through the whole repair. I like that they share text links to review and approve/disprove each item along with the level of severity. They work really fast, kept me informed the whole time and made me feel like I wasn’t getting upsold on things I didn’t need. Would use them again.

Rising Sun is by far the best place to take your car if you own a Japanese model car. It’s easy to make an appointment, the charges are transparent and clear, and they never try to sell you anything you don’t need.

Amazing service! My Subaru drove amazingly. Took it camping this weekend and loved the experience I was 100% confident the drive and everything else was fixed and it drove perfectly! Sent message of all things to fix and obtained my permission within hours of taking it in. And it was completed earlier than promised! The only place in town (besides dealers) that the mechanics actually love Subaru’s! Also we took in our 4Runner it’s ready to pull my camper!

Went in for the first time and described my issue, and was assured of the fix necessary with a quote. Visited a couple weeks later to leave the car for some work. It’s been 2 months since then, my timing belt issue causing a loud paddling sound when turning on the ignition is gone and my car is doing great. I appreciate the work greatly!! Definitely recommend

Had my timing belt, water pump and spark plugs replaced on a 2017 Acura MDX and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. Quoted 220$ transmission fluid change at Howdy Honda. But after they requested a power steering pump replacement for a known gasket issue with my model Civic I vowed to never give their service team my business. The well reputable place by my house wanted 350$ for a transmission fluid change. Decided to go with Rising Sun Autos for my 210,000 mile Civics transmission fluid change and couldn’t be happier. 275$ total cost. The car is shifing like a beast! Thanks Rising Sun Autos!

Such an amazing experience at this auto shop! I’m new to town, and had a brake light out, no idea where to go. I came here and they kindly replaced my brake light bulb in just 5 minutes. Wow! I just had another great experience with Rising Sun Automotive. I had a door handle not working properly on my Toyota. I thought it might be a door misalignment that would require a body shop but I wanted to check with Rising Sun first since I trust them with everything else on the car. They were able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it on the spot while I waited. These folks know what they’re doing and are extremely reasonable with their prices.
